ICCO started its life in 1999 as a family run Italian pizzeria located on Goodge St in Camden. In the years since, they have become renowned as a “pizzeria for the people” due to their endeavours to provide pizza with the best value for money to the people of London! Their business has well and truly boomed, now running multiple sites across London including Camden, Wandsworth and Wood Green.
When ICCO were looking for their ideal pizza oven, they decided they wanted to maintain a consistent stainless steel aesthetic throughout their sites to reinforce their values of simplicity, hygiene and efficiency. Upon meeting the Cuppone Donatello oven in LLK’s onsite demo kitchen, they found it matched their brief perfectly- it sports a stylish steel exterior while also providing extremely efficient performance. They display their ‘Donnos’ pride of place in their open theatre kitchen where customers can watch the show of their dish, from order to the finishing touches and every entrancing scene in between.
ICCO cook 12”Neapolitan traditional Italian thin crust pizzas. Their customers stay true to the classics, with their best sellers being margarita and pepperoni pizzas. The savvy ICCO chefs maximise the capabilities and energy emissions of their ovens by using them to roast their vegetable toppings also.
At ICCO’s busiest, they are able to cook 24 pizzas in their two twin ovens in under FIVE MINUTES- you can’t beat that! Tamer Kamel, business owner of ICCO, said “the power in the ovens is great, we could easily pump out over 1000 pizzas in the day…although I am not sure our chefs would be best pleased!”
