Nottingham-based pizza restaurant, Oscar and Rosies, have made enough metres of pizza to stretch across more than NINE football pitches, powered by our small-but-mighty Cuppone Tiziano electric oven!
Oscar and Rosies have used the Tiziano oven since 2013 and, even when they relocated in 2015, this oven remained the powerhouse of their kitchen.
The highly popular Tiziano was recommended to them by LLK as they knew this was the ideal oven for their needs and that this great value investment would put the ‘kit’ in their kitchen. The pizzeria has not been disappointed!
Oscar and Rosies decided to put the high performance Tiziano to the test and experiment with the concept of serving pizza by the metre. Once they’d tested, tweaked and fine-tuned the logistics of metre long meals, there was no looking back!
The Tiziano double-deck ovens that Oscar and Rosies started their path in the world of pizza with soon needed to be supplemented by a single-deck Tiziano as word got out about their unique pizzas by the metre(available in a choice of up to two flavours per 39 inch) and their slightly-more-sensibly-sized delicious 14 inch pizzas!
The craze for Oscar and Rosie’s unique pizzas shows no sign of passing, no doubt with help from the enduring appeal of their quirky and creative array of toppings. The contest for title of ‘best-seller’ is an ongoing battle between Boom Chicken Wah Wah (baked free-range chicken, award-winning streaky bacon, red onion, flat mushrooms and Rosie’s original BBQ sauce) and Meat Sweats (award-winning pepperoni, smoked streaky bacon and fennel and black pepper pork served on either Oscar’s tomato or Rosie’s BBQ sauce).
The six staff members who use the Tiziano oven have needed no pizzaiolo experience to get to grips with this simple, straightforward oven. They have even taken full advantage of the unexpected bonus features of the versatile Tiziano- the residual heat left circulating the oven once shop has been shut can slow cook Oscar and Rosie’s butternut squash and mushroom toppings! This multi-use equipment thereby saves Oscar and Rosie space and money which would go to buying unnecessary additional catering equipment.
When Oscar and Rosies opened their second premises, they purchased an identical oven for their new kitchen to continue their success. This oven is supplemented by a smaller oven that will enable them to capitalise on the trend of serving pizza by the slice and capture a share of the grab-and-go market.
Ex-lawyer and current proprietor of Oscar and Rosies, Olly Hunter, says: “My LLK Cuppone oven has been the business’s backbone for three years. It has been a great workhorse and its reliability has been backed by LLK’s excellent, comprehensive support throughout my pizza journey. I would award this oven a catering ‘Oscar’, as I can’t imagine I’ll ever have a more significant return on investment from any piece of kit.”
Our spot-on equipment match making has been met by our equipment servicing. Olly, describes the service he experienced with LLK as “excellent” after an electrician’s error necessitated a prompt call-out.
Linda Lewis, the catering equipment queen and managing director of LLK, says, “the Tiziano oven is one of our bestselling pizza ovens for good reason and we are delighted that Oscar and Rosies agree! This reliable oven is perfect for a start-up business as it is an easy-to-operate ally in a busy kitchen.”
